Waist Beads is to be able to focus on women to appreciate being in their skin while embracing the African culture.
In West African cultures, the list beads symbolize feminity, fertility, sensuality, protection, and spiritual well-being.
Mothers present waist beads to daughters to show them that they are coming of age. Daughters start with smaller beads and once they have reached sexual maturity, larger beads are added.
In the Ashanti Region, the waist beads are not to be seen by any outsider. The bead is for your eyes and your significant eyes only. If others can see your beads, you are known to be sleeping around.
Waist beads allow you to train your hips and let you notify you if you are gaining or losing weight.
The waist bead is also worn for good luck and guidance because every color and bead symbolizes different things.
Red: Bring strength in relationship Reflects sexual energy, adventure, passion, spontaneity, and danger
Gold: wisdom, knowledge, wealth, courage, and strength to manifest on your goal
Silver/Grey: reflects maturity, modesty, class, intelligence, and wisdom.
Pink: reflects kindness, love, beauty, acceptance, tenderness.
Blue: reflects faithfulness, patience, devotion, knowledge, and mystery.
Yellow: reflects radiance, happiness, warmth, and energy.
White/ Clear: reflects purity, innocent, forgiveness, light, and spirituality.
Black: reflects power, protection, and strength.
Orange: reflects ambition, pride, attention, engird and vibrance.
Green: reflects prosperity, growth, healing, harmony, and life.
Brown: reflect stability, shelter, earthiness, nature, and security.
Purple: reflects royalty, elegance, enhancement, peace of mind, and nobility.
